 Recently, Mozilla Firefox browser has introduced a Restart with Windows feature which will automatically start the browser, whenever your Windows computer boots. Sometimes, if you leave your Firefox open and when Windows shut down, then the Firefox might automatically re-open with your previously opened tabs when you opened the Windows next time.

Start the Mozilla Firefox browser
Type the following text in the address bar of the Firefox ‘about: config.’

  1. In the Search Filter box, type ‘Restart’ and it should show the following preferences in the window:
  • winRegisterApplicationRestart
  1. Now check for the preference value and then need to verify if it’s ‘set to true.’
  2. Disable it permanently; you will need to change this value to ‘False.’
  3. Once you set the value according to your preferences, then the feature will automatically be enabled and disabled completely.
