Use TeamViewer To Access Another Computer


The TeamViewer software application is a popular piece of software that provides remote control, file transfer between computers and desktop sharing. TeamViewer is always compatible with multiple platforms that include Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS. TeamViewer allows the users to access another computer remotely using a web browser. TeamViewer was established in Uhingen, Germany in 2005. This software is meant to work either by installing it on a computer or running a “Quick Support” version that does not demand an installation. If you want to access another computer from your computer using TeamViewer, this article will help you.
Follow these guidelines to access another computer from your computer using TeamViewer:
1. Open the TeamViewer website on the computer you want to access.
2. TeamViewer may detect your computer operating system for you.
Note: In case, if TeamViewer detects corrupt operating system for you, you can tap on the Computer’s OS. You will find it in the row of options in the middle of the page.
3. Then you will have to scroll down and tap on the Download TeamViewer button. You will find it near the top of the page.
4. Doing so will prompt the TeamViewer setup file.
5. Tap it to start downloading the file to your computer.
6. You may need to save the file depending on the settings of your browser.
7. Now you have a setup file called TeamViewer setup. Tap twice on this downloaded setup.
8. Now you have to install TeamViewer. To do so:
• For Windows — firstly, check the Installation to Access This Computer Remotely section.
• Then you will need to check the Personal/ Non-Commercial Use section.
• And then tap on Accept then Finish.
• For Mac — Firstly click twice on the installer package. Tap on OK button.
• Then launch the Apple Menu and tap on the System Preferences option.
• Tap on the Security and Privacy option, and click Open Anyway. You will find it next to the TeamViewer massage.
9. Tap on OK button when prompted and follow the on-screen instructions.
10. On the left of the TeamViewer Window, you will see Your ID. You may find it under the Allow Remote Control heading.
Note: This will be required to access the host computer.
11. Here you will need to create a custom password. Follow the steps to do so:
• First of all, hover over the current password.
• Then tap on the Circular Arrow, present on the left side of the password.
• Tap on the Set Personal Password option in the drop-down menu.
• Type your preferred password into the Password option and enter it.
• Then confirm the Password fields.
• Tap on the OK button.
12. Now you will need to download, install, and open TeamViewer on the second computer. This should be the computer that is going to be used by you to access the host computer.

13. On the right of the TeamViewer window, you will need to enter the first computer’s ID into the Partner ID field. You will see it just below the Control Remote Computer heading.
14. Tap on the circle to the left of this option to make sure the Remote Control is checked.
15. Tap on the Connect to Partner. You will find it near the bottom of the TeamViewer window.
16. Now you will need to enter the Password. This will be the password you set in the Allow Remote Control section of the TeamViewer on the host PC.
17. Then you will have to tap on the Log On button. You will get to see it at the bottom of the TeamViewer Authentication window.
18. After a short moment, you will find the first computer’s screen appearing in the TeamViewer window on the second computer’s screen. Thus, you will get to view your connected computer’s screen.
19. As soon as you see the host computer’s screen, you may interact with it as though it were your own computer.
20. If you ever want to disconnect it, you will just need to tap on the X button located at the top of the TeamViewer window.
